Why use a diy cinnamon toner for wrinkles? Because cinnamon stimulates collage production in skin, and is a powerful anti-ageing. Not only that, this diy cinnamon toner recipe contains anise, which prevents sagging by strengthening face muscles (we explain everything in our anise for wrinkles article!).

You can use this diy cinnamon toner for wrinkles everyday: in the morning to wash your face and at night you can apply it and leave it on.

Let’s go directly to the recipe:

Ingredients

  • 10 star anise
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 litres water

Instructions

  • Bring a big pot with the 2 litres of water to a boil
  • Put the anise and cinnamon in the boiling water
  • Let boil for 20 minutes on very low heat
  • Let cool for 3 hours, spices will continue infusing
  • Ready!

This amount of diy cinnamon toner will be enough for a week. Keep it in the fridge. For other anti wrinkles recipes, you can check out the homemade anti wrinkle toner.

  • Your article is no doubt quite informative but I have a question, I have coconut allergy can I still use Coconut oil for forehead wrinkles? I would love to hear your expert advice.

    • Thank you for your comment Lisa! If you would have had topic allergy to coconut that would have resulted in a skin rush after coconut oil application. If your skin is fine after you apply it, it probably means you are not allergic to topic use of coconut. However, for an allergic person, small quantities of allergens can be damaging in the long run, even if you don’t have an immediate reaction. So why not substitute coconut oil for another oil? We have an article about “diy face oil for wrinkles” where we use anise oil, which is much more effective against wrinkles than coconut oil anyway! I also recommend you to consult your allergy doctor before applying coconut oil, since you are allergic. Best, Priya
